Some influential producers in the world of fine wine need no introduction and Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is certainly one of them. DRC – as it’s frequently called – is co-owned by the Villaine and Leroy families and produces only grand cru wines, such as this Échezeaux. The 2017 vintage marked a changing of the guard, as it represents the final one of the legendary winemaker Bernard Noblet. The wine shows great intensity and charm, with remarkable freshness and ferny quality on the end. Available here in a magnum format.
