Arran Angels is the latest addition to Christian Drouin’s Experimental series of Calvados. This limited-edition collaboration is a 13-year-old Pays d’Auge Calvados that has been finished in ex-whisky cask for six months. The casks were originally taken from Drouin’s cellar and spent 17 years in the Lochranza distillery in Arran, Scotland. The result is a new expression of Calvados, with complex, layered flavours of bruised apples, crème brûlée and hazelnut.
