First produced in 1975, Grande Sendrée is the single-vineyard prestige cuvée of Maison Drappier. It takes its name from a parcel of land covered in cinders (cendrée) after a fire which almost destroyed Urville in 1838. The 2012 vintage is a blend of 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay, which are grown organically. Expect notes of pineapple, apple compote, pastry and some floral elements.
