Diplomático rum is a super-premium sipping rum brand from Venezuela. Diplomático rum is produced with top-grape molasses by the Maestros Roneros of Destilerias Unidas, based in La Miel at the foot of the Andes Mountains close to Venezuela’s beautiful Terepaima National Park. The company was set up in 1959 and is widely regarded as one of the finest rum producers in South America.

Diplomático rums are expertly crafted using a combination of modern and traditional distillation methods. Diplomático’s Añejo is a smooth-sipping golden rum, blended from a combination of continuous still and potstill rums aged for an average of four years. Richer, sweeter and silkier, Diplomático Reserva has a higher proportion of potstill rums and is aged for an average of eight years. The ultimate expression, however, is the Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva – created from a blend of 20% light rums and 80% potstill rums, and aged for up to 12 years in oak casks. This flagship expression takes the brand’s characteristic sweet, fruity flavours to an even higher level of concentration and flavour intensity.
