Dark Arts Rye Double Oaked is a limited-edition rye whiskey from Dark Arts Whiskey House in Lexington, Kentucky. This sought-after whiskey is made from a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley and is aged for 8.5 years in charred oak barrels. It is then rebarreled into a second, new oak barrel for an additional period of time. This double oaking process adds complexity and depth to the flavour. Expect notes of sweet almonds, peppercorn, anise and pine on the nose, followed by flavours of orange rind, golden honey, green apple and vanilla.
