Côtes du Jura La Madeleine Chardonnay Masin des Saules 2023 exemplifies the distinctive terroir of the Jura region. Sourced from the La Madeleine vineyard, this Chardonnay is cultivated on grey marls and clay soils at 350 metres altitude, where west-facing slopes offer optimal sun exposure. The vines, approximately 10 years old, contribute to a limited production of 4,200 bottles. Vinification employs native yeasts and no added sulphur, followed by a 12-month maturation in old oak barrels. This approach reflects the producers` commitment to organic and biodynamic practices, striving for certification while maintaining a natural, patient cellar process.
