Cossart Gordon Terrantez 300cl 1975

Established in 1745, Cossart Gordon & Co. is the oldest company in the Madeira Wine Trade and the Cossart family has been among the most influential on the island for nearly two centuries. This is a rare single-harvest Madeira produced in 1975 from 100% Terrantez grapes and bottled in 2020 with 95g/L residual sugar having matured in seasoned American oak casks for 45 years. This is a wonderfully complex fortified wine, offering up notes of dried fruits, spices, polished woods, smoked nuts, resin and dried honey. A delicious bittersweet drink with a brilliantly spicy and saliva-inducing finish. Only 28 double magnums released.
