Alain Verset Cornas 2009 is a full-bodied red wine produced from Syrah grapes in the Cornas appellation of the northern Rhône Valley. Alain Verset is the nephew of the cult Cornas producer Noël Verset. Alain manages his own 2ha domaine in the appellation from which this 2009 bottling was made. 2009 was a remarkably good vintage in the northern Rhône, producing ripe, concentrated Syrahs with ripe, well-integrated tannins combined with firm acidity to ensure strong ageing potential.
