Produced from the biodynamic Château Villemajou estate in Corbières Boutenac, the 2021 Gérard Bertrand Château Villemajou Grand Vin Rouge 2019 is an elegant, full-bodied red blend of the Languedoc varieties Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Mourvèdre. Produced from the best old vines of the estate in Corbières Boutenac, including Carignan vines up to 80 years old, the Grand Vin Rouge is ripe yet balanced, with super-fine tannins and notes of sweetly spiced red and black fruits, complemented by hints of toast, liquorice and clove.
