Nestled in the heart of the protected massif of la Clape, the Château l`Hospitalet was acquired by Gerard Bertrand in 2002, who converted it into a fully biodynamic estate. The red Grand Vin is a blend of their best Syrah, Mourvèdre and Grenache. Each varietal is vinified separately, and the blend is made in February. The wine then rests in barrels for 12 months. The 2018 vintage delivers an intense bouquet dominated by spicy notes underpinned by red fruits. The fleshy and elegantly structured palate reveals silky tannins which highlight the opulent fruit through to a long finish.
