Château Chasse-Spleen is a renowned winery situated in the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation, just west of Margaux, which has consistently held the reputation as the premier estate in this appellation. Acquired by Jacques Merlaut in 1976, it has been under the stewardship of his granddaughter, Céline Villars, since 2000. Château Chasse Spleen 1983 offers a mature, complex profile typical of well-aged. The nose presents dried black fruits, tobacco, leather, and earthy undertones. On the palate, it is balanced with softened tannins and flavours of dark cherries, graphite, and subtle herbs. The acidity is well integrated, providing a smooth finish with a touch of cedar.
