Château de la Maltroye Chassagne-Montrachet Dent de Chien 2000 is a 1er Cru white Burgundy from the tiny climat of Dent de Chien located next the famed Le Montrachet Grand Cru. Although one of Chassagne`s smallest 1er Cru vineyards, Dent de Chien`s favourable exposition and soils generally produce highly-regarded, if somewhat scarce, wines. Maltroye winemaker Jean-Pierre Cornut crafts classic Chassagne Chardonnays with a distinct emphasis on acidity and mineral depth. From the 2000 vintage, this wine is rich and unctuous, with notes of spicy stone fruits and fine minerality.
