Domaine Serafin Charmes-Chambertin 2000 is a mature Grand Cru Burgundy Pinot Noir from the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation of the Côte de Nuits. Domaine Serafin boasts some of the oldest vines in the appellation, the youngest being around 40 years old. The domaine`s objective is to produce powerful wines which are faithful to their terroir and can age well. All the Grands and Premiers Crus wines are aged in 100% new oak barrels.
Full ruby-red. Superripe yet primary nose of blueberry, mocha and game. Sweet, lush and perfumed in the mouth, with sappy, complex flavors of black cherry, licorice and chocolatey torrefaction. Finishes long and aromatic, with firm but suave tannins.
