‘Les Sentiers’ is a 4.9-hectare Premier Cru vineyard situated 0.3 miles northeast of Chambolle-Musigny village. It is one of the 24 Premier Cru sites located on the fine, well-drained soils of the mid-slope of the Côte d`Or escarpment. This release is the 2021 ‘Les Sentiers’ produced by Domaine Arlaud, a family-owned estate based in Morey-Saint-Denis. The wines from this appellation tend to be well-balanced with concentrated flavours and good acidity.
The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers 1er Cru has quite a heavy reduction on the nose that makes it difficult to read, though subtle floral scents emerge with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with lithe tannins, wonderful structure and brimming with freshness. There is some oak to assimilate on the finish, but this should turn into Arlaud`s finest Chambolle with 5-7 years on the clock. - Neil Martin - The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers 1er Cru has quite a heavy reduction on the nose that makes it difficult to read, though subtle floral scents emerge with aeration.
