Established in the 1970s, Frédéric Esmonin produces wines from two grand cru vineyard plots in Gevrey-Chambertin, planted between 1949 and 1959 as well as three premier crus. Champonnet, Lavaut Saint-Jacques and Estournelles-Saint-Jacques. This 1998 Chambertin Grand Cru is an elegant expression, showing a dry fruit character, smooth tannins and a mineral aftertaste.
