First launched in 1997, Clos Apalta is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Carménère, Chile’s signature red grape variety. The 2014 vintage is considered the finest to date and scored 100 points in James Suckling’s review. The wine is beautifully aromatic, with notes of blackberries and blueberries, plus floral and hot stone characters. Full body, linear and marked by very fine tannins. The finish is precise and long. The wine is perfect to drink now.
