Capela do Vesuvio Vintage Tappit Hen 225cl 2016

Quinta do Vesuvio is located in the heart of the Douro Superiore and has an outstanding reputation for producing exceptional wines stretching back to the 19th Century. 2016 was a superb vintage in the Douro and this is a wonderful release of Capela da Quinta do Vesuvio. It rich, refined and bursting with flavour, offering up notes of notes of ripe plum, macerated black cherries and dark chocolate. It is full-bodied and voluptuous on the palate, with huge waves of concentrated fruits and a mass of chewy tannins of near-perfect ripeness. This is a stunning release and will easily improve over many, many years. Drink 2030-2070.
