Château Calon-Ségur is one of the shining stars of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, owned by the French insurance company Suravenir since 2012. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Third Growths in the historic Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855. The 1995 vintage is still quite vibrant, with beautiful fruit and oak, a touch of eucalyptus and smoke.
