This Brunello di Montalcino comes from the 27-hectare Pieve Santa Restituta estate in Montalcino, which Gaja took over in 1994. The 2010 vintage is showing a pronounced nose of black fruits, balsamic notes, soya sauce and even some sweet tobacco and vanilla. The palate boasts plenty of acidity and structure. The tannins are starting to soften but are still present. Drink or hold.
