Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Bourgogne Chardonnay 2019 is a medium-bodied Burgundy white wine from the Bourgogne appellation. The Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey estate was formed in 2001 when Pierre-Yves Colin and his wife Caroline Morey – both from Burgundy winemaking families – joined forces. Today they produce wines from approximately 13 hectares of vineyards, situated in the villages of Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, Santenay, Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault. "There is still some post-bottling sulphur on the discreetly wooded nose of ripe apple and pear. There is bit more volume and richness to the attractive textured flavours that are not quite as bright as those of the Aligoté, all wrapped in a lingering finish where a touch of warmth emerges." Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey

Established in Chassagne-Montrachet in 2001 through the collaboration of Pierre-Yves Colin and his wife Caroline Morey (both hailing from historic Burgundy winemaking families) the Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey estate comprises approximately 13 hectares of vineyards across the appellations Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, Santenay, Puligny-Montrachet, and Meursault.

Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey is the eldest son of St-Aubin winemaker Marc Colin. Since leaving his family domaine in 2005 to launch his own winery, Pierre-Yves has become one of the most-lauded winemakers on the Côte d'Or. His approach is very much minimal-interventionist: no batonnage for whites; minimal racking and extended élévage across the board.

Pierre-Yves’ vineyard holdings are centred on the Côte de Beaune appellation of St-Aubin (including the Premiers Crus of Chatèniere, Champlots and Remilly) and Chassagne-Montrachet (including the Premiers Crus of Chenevottes and Caillerets).

Pierre-Yves’ cellar is shared with his wife, Caroline Morey. The daughter of Jean-Marc Morey, whose family has cultivated vines in Chassagne since the 16th century, Caroline created her own domaine in 2014.
