Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, with a history dating back to the 15th century, is among the finest producers in Côte de Nuits. Notably, it is the sole estate in Musigny Grand Cru to produce a white wine. Extensive replanting projects since the 1980s resulted in younger vines, leading cellar master François Millet to classify the wine as `Bourgogne Blanc` during this period. Today, the estate is owned by sisters Comtesse Claire de Causans and Marie de Ladoucette, with Jean-Luc Pépin overseeing sales and marketing. The exceptional Côte de Nuits Musigny Blanc from Comte Georges de Vogüé was declassified for 22 years, from the 1993 to the 2015 vintage, as the vines were considered too young for the quality of the iconic appellation. Hence, the Bourgogne Blanc classification.
