The wines of La Pousse d’Or often show sublime fruit concentration and opulence, with fruit veering more towards black than red, and nowhere is this more apparent than in the superb 2015 Bonnes-Mares. The nose is redolent of juicy blackberry and bramble with hints of fresh dates. On the palate it is supple yet structured with a wonderfully elegant finish.
