This is a rare bottling of single-harvest Madeira from 1988, made from 100% Malmsey (Malvasia) grapes. Bottled in 2013 with 123g/L residual sugar, the wine underwent a maturation period of 25 years in seasoned American oak casks using the traditional ‘Canteiro’ system. Exhibiting a dark mahogany hue, it combines notes of dried figs, coffee beans, citrus peel, spices, and varnished noble woods.
