Though the estate dates back to the mid-19th Century, Domaine Jacques Prieur was officially created in 1956. It is today owned by Edouard Labruyère who oversees the estate’s meticulously maintained vineyards and the production of exquisite wines from some of the greatest sites in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits.
This is a delightful wine from a 0.54ha plot of Premier Cru Beaune-Grèves, which is so-called due to the predominance of small pebbles within the vineyard. The 2017 is vibrant and elegant, with wonderful purity of fruit, bright acidity and excellent mineral-tinged length.
