Based in Magnan, Baron de Lustrac is an independent éleveur and bottler run by José Barbe and Ina Bornemann, a dedicated husband-and-wife team. They source their armagnacs from a number of small producers, mainly from the Ténarèze and Mas Armagnac regions. This release is from the 1988 vintage, and it was aged in a 420-litre oak barrel before bottling. A beautifully floral brandy, with a nutty character and hints of sweet vanilla.
