Gaja`s Dragomis is produced from two of the most prized terroirs sites in Barolo - Serralunga and La Morra. The two sites are vinified separately and aged separately for 12 months before being blended and aged for a further 18 months in French oak barrels. Serralunga produces structured and austere Nebbiolo while La Morra gives a more elegant character. Dagromis is the expression of both. The name Dragomis refers to the Gromis family from whom the Gaja family purchased a property in La Morra in 1995.
