Artemis Karamolegos Papas 2021 showcases the Assyrtiko grape, an indigenous variety of Greece, particularly from the volcanic soils of Santorini. The wine presents a crisp character, defined by minerality and fresh acidity, typical of the region’s unique terroir. The Assyrtiko undergoes 22 months of lees ageing, followed by an additional year in bottle, enhancing its complexity alongside the expected salty savouriness. The Karamolegos family, with a winemaking tradition dating back to 1952, combines both traditional methods and modern techniques to create this cuvée. Best enjoyed chilled, it pairs perfectly with seafood, elevating both the wine and the culinary experience.
