Originally founded in 1836, Annandale was given a new lease of life, when David Thomson and Teresa Church bought the slumbering distillery in 2007. They not only restored the beautiful buildings but also reinstated whisky production, using a modern plant designed by the late Dr Jim Swan. ‘Man o’Words’ is their range of unpeated whiskies, in celebration of Robert Burns, Scotland’s National Poet. This release was aged in a single S. T. R. ex-red wine cask and has been bottled up at cask strength.
