This Amarone della Valpolicella is produced by Tommaso Bussola, an azienda agricola situated in the north-eastern Italian region of Veneto. Founded in the 1980s, the estate comprises three vineyards with volcanic or clay soils, planted to Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara. This release from the 2004 vintage is a modern-style Amarone, brimming with notes of raisins, stewed figs, black cherries and mixed spices. Tannins are still quite evident but there is plenty of acidity to balance the wine.
