Amarolo is a nod to the great Amarone wines of Italy, which are made using grapes dried on mats to concentrate their flavours. Alexander Winery winemaker Yoram Shalom applies this same technique to a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Shiraz and Grenache. This is an incredibly rich, round and smooth wine best served alongside equally rich foods.
