John Alban is a legend in the California wine scene and was one of the original Rhone Ranger pioneers. This is a single-barrel (c. 300 bottles) cuvée made from predominantly Mourvedre with tiny amounts of Syrah. It is a full-bodied and decadent wine of exceptional fruit quality but unmistakable Mourvedre savouriness.
