Accendo Cellars is the new project of Bart and Daphne Araujo after the sale of their eponymous estate. This is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and is classically Napa with its richness and complexity but supreme elegance. Deeply scented with black fruit, spice and floral lift, it is medium-bodied and firm in texture, finishing with a lingering freshness.
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is a very pretty wine. It has always been on the lighter side, but it has aged very well nonetheless. Dark cherry, tobacco, spice and leather lend notable complexity. The 2013 remains quite young. It doesn't show the natural power of the year, but it is exquisite.
