Marc Colin Montrachet 2006 is a full-bodied Burgundy white wine from the Grand Cru climat of Le Montrachet in the Côte de Beaune. Based in Saint-Aubin, Domaine Marc Colin et Fils is a family-run wine estate that produces both red and white Burgundy. Founded in the 1970s by Marc Colin and his wife Michèle, the estate comprises 19 hectares over various appellations, including vineyards in Puligny-Montrachet and Santenay. On the 2006 Grand Cru Montrachet. "Here the elegant, pure and layered nose is actually fresher and interestingly, not quite as ripe while featuring mostly subtly spiced citrus and white flower aromas that merge into serious, intense and incredibly backward big-bodied flavors that opulent and textured yet focused, detailed and superbly long. This is presently a brooding thoroughbred that will age for years and in marked contrast to virtually every other wine in the range, this just oozes class.
