Founded in 2011 by husband-and-wife team William and Lucy Lowe, Cambridge Distillery is one of the most forward-thinking and experimental gin distilleries in the world – indeed the distillery has been awarded the title of ‘the most innovative distillery in the world’ three times in a row.
Cambridge Distillery was founded on the principle that no two botanicals are the same and as such, they need to be treated individually. To achieve this, the distillery developed a unique distillation matrix in which nine variables are used to tailor the treatment of each botanical, allowing them to achieve a level of precision beyond that of traditional distillation. The flagship Cambridge Distillery Dry Gin is crisp, clean and zesty with citrus, fruity blackcurrant notes, but this is joined by a host of seasonal, special-edition and experimental products – not least the innovative Anty Gin, which is flavoured with red wood ants.
