Domaine Clarence Dillon’s history began in 1935, when American financier Clarence Dillon purchased the Bordeaux First Growth Château Haut-Brion with the goal of restoring it to its former glory and reclaiming its place among the world’s wine elite.

The family-owned company is today chaired by Prince Robert of Luxembourg, Clarence Dillon’s great-grandson, and produces the iconic wines of Château Haut-Brion, Château La Mission Haut-Brion, Château Quintus and Clarendelle. The latter is a luxury wine brand producing a family of Bordeaux wines inspired by Haut-Brion. Launched in 2005, Clarendelle seeks to unite tradition and innovation to harness and express the exceptional terroirs of Bordeaux at a more accessible price point than the illustrious Pessac First Growth.

Curious fact: Domaine Clarence Dillon was chosen to provide wines for guests at the 2023 Oscars (Prince Robert of Luxembourg having previously worked as a screenwriter).
