Single Cask Chichibu and Ichiro's Malt
When it comes to Japanese single malts, there is little more elusive than the single cask bottlings from Ichiro Akuto, founder of Ichiro's Malt and Chichibu. Often released exclusively in Japan to specific retailers or available only to visitors to the distillery in Saitama, these releases are usually limited to less than 200 bottles.
Factoring in the fact that many are opened and enjoyed within a few days of purchase and a whole host end up in whisky bars across the world, there are usually only a few dozen of these limited editions seen in the wild.
