The 2001 Sunspot was a limited release magnum-only bottling of Cabernet Sauvignon from the legendary Shafer Vineyards to commemorate their 25th Anniversary. Once again this is an immense wine of remarkable power, purity and precision that showcases the very best of the variety and exceptional winemaking skill. It is rich and decadent with delectable layers of black and red fruits but delivers oodles of savoury complexity with notes of cigar box, roasted coffee, truffle and Indian spices. A superb wine with at least another decade of cellaring potential.
