Pommard Les Pezerolles Potinet Ampeau 2000

Located just above the Petits Epenots, this Premier Cru vineyard is known for its earthy and iron-rich soil, which maintains a cooler temperature. At the uppermost part of the slope, the soil comprises white marl, resulting in a Pommard style that is somewhat lighter. This expression is from the 2000 vintage and was crafted by Domaine Potinet-Ampeau. While 1999 favoured Burgundy, the 2000 vintage was more advantageous for Bordeaux. Nonetheless, 2000 produced a charming vintage with fruit-forward wines that exude an attractive quality.
