Bodegas Bhilar, a small winery in Elvillar, Rioja Alavesa, is managed by the husband-and-wife duo, David Sampedro and Melanie Hickman. This offering is made from Viura grapes, undergoing natural fermentation on the skins and ageing in oak for six years. The nose reveals notes of baked bread and nuttiness, complemented by an aromatic vermouth touch. Dried flowers and chamomile contribute to a textured palate, finishing with a creamy, chalky quality.
