Founded by a former pastry chef, Dominique Laurent is a boutique, high-quality négociant based in Nuits-Saint-Georges. From his very first vintage in 1988, Dominique has specialised in handcrafted Burgundy made from very old vineyards which are tended by local vignerons. This particular release comes from the Grand Cru Grands-Echézeaux and made from old vines. 2003 will be remembered in Burgundy for its ferocious heatwave, but the best producers managed to make spectacular wines from that vintage.
