Domaine Mugnier Chambolle-Musigny 2008 is a medium-bodied Burgundy red wine from the Chambolle-Musigny commune of the Côte de Nuits. Situated in Chambolle-Musigny, Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier covers approximately 14 hectares of vines in some of the most prestigious premier and grand crus. The estate was originally founded in 1863 by Frédéric Mugnier, a liquor-maker from Dijon and had been based at the Château de Chambolle-Musigny ever since. This expression comes from the domaine’s Chambolle vines in the lieux-dits of La Combe d’Orveau and Les Plantes. "An exuberant, fresh and ultra pure essence of red berry fruit nose is nuanced by wet stone and herbal hints and leads to detailed and equally stony middle weight flavours that are still quite primary and supported by a firm but ripe acid spine and fine length. A classic Chambolle that should make for a lovely villages." Burghound, 2011
