Named after Angelo Gaja’s granddaughter and mother, Gaia & Rey was first produced in 1983 and demonstrated the Langhe region could produce world class Chardonnay. The 2018 vintage was generally regarded as being of fantastic quality and produced wines of rich fruit but excellent innate freshness and balance. This shows through handsomely in this wine with its ample and intense white peach fruit but taut and refreshing acidity. Drink now through to 2030+.
