Founded in the 1970s, the relatively small Domaine Lamy-Caillat started with just 1.2 hectares of vines but has swiftly gained acclaim, producing wines that stand up to any in Chassagne-Montrachet. While the estate is well-regarded for its Chardonnay-based white wines, it also ventures into Pinot Noir, exemplified in this village-level Chassagne-Montrachet. The Burgundy region experienced an especially favourable vintage in 1985, resulting in well-balanced white and red wines.
