This is the 2019 vintage of Louis Jadot’s Bâtard-Montrachet, which is located at the point where the villages of Puligny Montrachet and Chassagne Montrachet converge. The vineyard is exposed to the sun from the east and sits on a chalky soil. The Chardonnay grapes for this cuvée are hand-harvested and fermented in oak barrels, 30% new. The wine is then aged for 15 months on the lees before bottling. This is a muscular, full-bodied wine complemented by a remarkable acidity.
