Hampden

Historic Jamaican Rum

Hampden is renowned for owning some of the best sugar cane lands in Jamaica and holds the distinction of being the only distillery on the island that is exclusively dedicated to the production of heavy pot still rums. For centuries its methods of production have remained largely unchanged: long spontanteous fermentations, no added colourants or sugar, tropical ageing, and distillation exclusively in pot stills.

Hampden Estate is an historic Jamaican rum distillery which traces its history in Trelawny Parish, in the north west of the island, back to 1753.

For many years, the only way to experience Hampden rums was through the products sold by independent rum bottlers. However this changed in 2018, when the first official bottlings of Hampden rum were launched commercially, opening up an exciting new era for the company.
