Morey-Saint-Denis Clos Sorbé

Morey-Saint-Denis Clos Sorbé is a Premier Cru climat located on the south-eastern outskirts of Morey-Saint-Denis village in the Côte de Beaune. The vineyard is just below the Grand Cru of Clos des Lambrays and though the Pinot Noirs produced here do not quite match the profundity of its Grand Cru neighbour, they are still beautifully expressive – soft, elegant and worthy of any Burgundy Pinot lover’s attention.

Lying on a gentle slope with good, sun-catching easterly exposure, Clos Sorbé is also characterised by chalky marl soils which are significant in retaining acidity in its Pinot Noir grapes, contributing to the brightness and longevity of the vineyard’s wines.
