Chambolle-Musigny Les Feusselottes

Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, France

The Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru of Les Feusselottes is located in a small depression in the landscape between the village of Chambolle-Musigny and the renowned Premier Cru of Les Charmes. The Grands Crus of Bonnes-Mares and Musigny are located just to the south of this well-regarded climat.

The terroir of Les Feusselottes is interesting and distinct from that of the surrounding vineyard sites. Its situation at the base of an alluvial fan which spreads out from a side valley of the Côte d’Or called Combe Ambin gives the vineyard particularly deep soils of iron-rich silty calcareous clay. This is thought to contribute body and minerality to the very fine Pinot Noirs produced here.

Domaines producing particularly noteworthy wines from Les Feusselottes include Domaine George Mugneret-Gibourg, Domaine Cecile Tremblay and Domaine Méo-Camuzet.
