Chambolle-Musigny Aux Beaux Bruns
Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, France
Located just below the village of Chambolle-Musigny, Aux Beaux Bruns is a Premier Cru climat devoted to Pinot Noir. Lower lying on the Côte d’Or escarpment, it is typically one of the first vineyards in Chambolle to be picked.
The soil of Aux Beaux Bruns is distinctive in terms of the terroir of Chambolle-Musigny: it is composed of chalky marl with a high proportion of limestone. Deep and with more clay than is typical in the commune, with the presence of iron oxide in some areas, the vineyard produces markedly structured Pinot Noirs with a fine mineral core and excellent ageing potential.
Noteworthy producers with parcels in Aux Beaux Bruns include Ghislaine Barthod, Emmanuel Rouget and Denis Mortet.
