Chablis Grand Cru Vaudesir

Located in the centre of the Chablis Grand Cru belt on the left bank of the Serein river, Vaudésir is a highly regarded Grand Cru renowned for producing some of the finest Chardonnays in the Chablis region, wines that are soft, floral, mineral which an extra special finesse.
Owing to its location in a natural ampitheatre – which is bisected by a path called the Chemin des Vaudésir – the vineyard has both southerly and northerly facing sections. Grapes grown on in the cooler north-facing section mature later and
Vaudésir is also distinctive among Chablis seven Grands Crus in having soils with a larger than usual proportion of clay (though the subsoil is the classic Chablis Kimmeridgian limestone).
