Domaine Jacques Prieur Volnay Santenots 2020 is a 1er Cru Burgundy Pinot Noir from the Côte de Beaune. Renowned for its perfumed and smooth-yet-structured Pinot Noirs, Volnay is located between Pommard and Meursault in the Côte de Beaune. Les Santenots is one of the most highly regarded 1er Cru climats within the appellation. Jacques Prieur owns a 1.1ha parcel of old Pinot Noir vines in the heart of the climat, with brown magnesium-rich soil sitting on a layer of hard limestone. The 2020 Santenots was made with fully destemmed grapes and was aged for 21 months in 100% new oak barrels.
